The Fundación Cultural Alma Llanera is a Non for Profit Organization founded and registered in the Province of Ontario by a group of fellow Venezuelans and the only Venezuelan organization running since 2004 in Ontario. The organization manages different events and fundraising initiatives. Being the most important ones the Christmas Bazaar and The Venezuelan Summer Festival. The Fundación Cultural Alma Llanera was originally created with the idea of reaching the less fortunate in our community and back home. But, due to the fast growth of the Venezuelan community in the GTA / Mississauga /Oakville area during the past years and the joy of sharing our culture the need for more events arise. Now we proudly manage 2 big events during the year (Venezuelan Summer Festival and The Christmas Bazaar) and several smaller indicatives. It is a very difficult task due to lack of funding but with the help of our volunteers and sponsors we had made each of these events a success. the years. Our primary goal since 2007 has been providing sponsorship to a group Venezuelan less fortunate children who need our help to fulfill their education and become productive individuals. In order to do so we hold a yearly Summer Festival and a Christmas Bazaar where we raise the necessary funds to provide this group of children with the financial support to stay in school and fulfill their education goals and at the same time we provide our fellow Venezuelans in Toronto with a taste of home.
