ALMA NYC Details
ALMA NYC is a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit dance company with strong philanthropic initiatives driving our creative work. In addition to creating new, thought provoking dance works, we lead creative workshops for diverse populations across the city. We believe that the power of movement does not start and end on the stage. By partnering with various organizations across the city, dance has allowed us to connect with at risk youth in alternative to detention programs, individuals with neurological conditions, those with cognitive or developmental disabilities, in addition to individuals who simply didn't believe engaging with the arts was a possibility for them.As an organization, we believe that the responsibility to offer what we can to our community ranks above all else.
