ALO SOLUTIONS LIMITED is a consultancy company.Alo Solutions Ltd was set up in 2014 by Barbara Bray MSc, FIFST, RNutrBSc (Hons) Food Technology (University of Reading), MSc Postharvest Technology (Cranfield University), MSc Human Nutrition (University of Chester)With a passion for educating people about food and nutrition, Barbara is a director of the Oxford Farming Conference, the leading international conference held in the UK for farming and agribusiness. She on the Food Science and Nutrition committee for the Institute of Food Science and Technology and is a trustee with portfolio of International Affairs for The Nutrition Society in the UK. She speaks at food and agriculture events and has contributed to debates at the UN Committee for Food Security in Rome on Nutrition, Youth and Women in Agriculture. Prior to consultancy Barbara worked in the Ugandan agri-business sector for three years after graduation and then spent fourteen years in the chilled foods sector in the UK and France. Her roles covered food procurement, technical innovation and implementation of food safety systems as a Technical Manager with Bakkavor, an international food manufacturer.Alo means 'educate, support and nourish' in Latin.The consultancy carries out training for clients and supports them with technical expertise and strategic advice on nutrition policy.With a network of colleagues from food industry, academia and the nutrition world to draw on, resource from food safety consultants, auditors, post-doctorate researchers, trainers and Nutritionists is available when required.Alo Solutions focuses on you and your team to understand their key needs and address them in a way that gives the business sustainable systems that can be built on, knowledge that informs them and confidence to make the right decisions.
