Alpas is a beachfront & organic farm resort located in Tobias Fornier, Antique. On 3/4hectares, we have an organic garden, farm to table restaurant, and beachfront guesthouse. From the food we grow and serve, the service we give, to the accommodations we provide, we strive to provide an experience that stems from the quality, craftsmanship and integrity it takes to create it. Alpas restaurant is an all-bamboo structure, decorated with bamboo and hardwood furniture, all handmade by carpenters from our province. Our seasonal menu features produce from our farm and neighboring organic farmers, and takes great care to highlight not only exotic varieties but also the beautiful diversity of indigenous herbs, fruits, livestock and plants that are unique to the Philippines. All heated foods are prepared to order over live fire on our brick stove, using bamboo, coconut, and wood charcoal. The ash generated by cooking will be one of the components of our compost toilet program. Compost generated from this program will be utilized for the non-edible vegetation on Alpas property. Alpas supports local, fair trade, socially and environmentally-conscious establishments by featuring their products in our restaurant, in our guest rooms, and in our gift shop. We are committed to sourcing from suppliers that are like-minded in empowering the craftsmen behind their products. From the dish and laundry washing soaps to our pillows, we are celebrating Philippine-made materials. We wish to be a zero waste, single-use plastic-free zone. Our staff plays an integral part in spreading awareness about the beauty and sustainability of sourcing local and indigenous ingredients and products.
