The Eliot Affiliate was founded in the spring of 2012 with the intention of being an organization that builds well-rounded men that lead the community through our unique pledging process. We strive to develop our candidates socially, morally, physically, and intellectually. Our affiliate has a strong literary tradition, keeping with our national tradition. Candidates keep their favorite novels with them, rather than pledge paddles. Our brothers are active readers, debaters, and orators a reading log is kept so that brothers may share their recent findings with one another. Aspiring educators and executive board members give fraternity-wide lectures on topics of their choosing part of our candidate education is learning through literature, as our founder, Samuel Eells, intended.
