Hospital & Health Care - San Rafael, California, United States
Organized in 2015, Dominican University of California is the first AED honor society in Northern California and now joins the ranks with UCLA (California Theta chapter), UCSD (California Eta chapter), UCI (California Epsilon chapter), SDSU (California Zeta chapter), and USC (California Alpha chapter). It first began as a health professionals club run by pre-medical students who wanted a focused support group to guide each other through undergraduate studies and graduate applications. By the spring of 2021, it had grown into California Kappa Chapter, inducting over 100 members since its establishment. The mission of the California Kappa chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta is to uphold the Dominican experience through service outreach in the community, encourage excellence in scholarship, provide a forum for students with interests in the health sciences, and promote communication between students, educators, and medical professionals to accelerate student matriculation into health science and medical school graduate programs.
