With the vision of being the key educational and research unit of the University of Delhi, the Department of Operational Research was independently set up in 1973 under the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences; a decade after Operational Research was introduced as a subject in the University of Delhi.The Department of Operational Research has successfully completed over 50 glorious years and played a significant role in nurturing and preparing its students for leaving an imprint on the world. Our philosophy in both teaching and research is to combine intellectual rigour with a strong emphasis on practical applications.The Alumni Relations Cell manages alumni relations as well as other activities such as freshers, farewell and other programs.
