Virtual classes are overwhelming, challenging, and confusing—to say the least. Our purpose is to supply students with the individualized support and attention they need in order to overcome these barriers and thrive in classes, both online and when they return to in-person teaching. By only offering tutors who are alumni of the Poway Unified School District, we aim to match students and tutors who have attended the same schools, taken the same classes, and been taught by the same teachers. This ensures that our students are receiving accurate assistance by tutors who understand them. It is important to us that our tutors can relate with the students they are helping, which is why we only allow tutors who are within two years of the current senior class to participate in Alumni Tutoring.
