Alur Design Group is a design and research group that envisions art, architecture and urbanism as engines for future innovation to create sustainable design solutions. Alur was an interdisciplinary design and creative studio that was set up in London and Amsterdam in October 2009 by a diversified group of young Indonesian architects practicing in these two cities. The core competence of the studio is design excellence. Alur is committed to providing designs that create uplifting spaces for people. For The London Festival of Architecture 2010, Alur is developing a cultural installation derived from batik that will be exhibited at an international event which attracts more than a quarter million people. Our people has extensive international experience in masterplanning, urban design, residential, retail and commercial, hotel, office building, interior, computational architecture and research work. The project experiences range from Asia, Europe, Middle East, Australia, South America and United States. The breadth of our experience allows us to bring an international perspective to a local project. The different backgrounds help to broaden our vision fully grounded within the studio.
