We are drivers of digitisation and advocates of it helping to make our world a better place. Our goal has always been to show people, who are critical of digitisation, how this can be an opportunity for us all.Am I In Porn? was created due to stories from our friends. We have been told about frightening experiences in which, for example, ex-partners have published intimate and, above all, private recordings without consent out of revenge. In most cases, the people concerned only heard about it through rumours and did not find a way to get to the bottom of the matter themselves. We realized how much suffering victims were experiencing.Furthermore, in early 2018 we watched Darieth Chisolm's TED keynote about the issue of Revenge Porn and Non Consensual Porn as well as read reports about the closure of myex.com. We soon realized how big the consequences and the global, partly unbelievable extent are. These are not individual cases. We saw serious problems with how the positive effects of digitisation could be turned drastically into negative. Along with the powerlessness of the victims that goes along with it, we felt this was so drastic and disturbing that we wanted to create a way to fight this effectively. So these stories became our personal mission. We wanted to develop something that would serve all people who find themselves in similar situations and hope to have created something here that would be of real use for you. At least to be able to help the people around us.That is how Am I In Porn? was born. As a tool for every person, affected, not affected or not yet affected, to take control back again and to take action against violations of their rights and their own dignity. Because digitisation and technology should benefit all people and not cause harm.
