Founded in 2018, by film and television director/producer Rob Hardy and his wife Shaun, Amazing Stories Foundation's mission is to increase the opportunities and representation of women and people of color on the production sets within the film and television industry. We accomplish our mission by:- Training and developing diverse talent pipelines- Deliverying workforce development strategies - Providing employment services for the film and television industry - Providing seasoned industry related mentorship for program participantsOur strategies focus in two areas:- Film and Television Apprenticeships - Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Student Internships Our goal is to increase the diversity of the film and television industry, and promote environments of equality, equity, inclusion, and respect for differences. We actively target individuals from groups underrepresented in the entertainment industry.In 2019, the Amazing Stories Foundation will launch the Amazing Stories Production Apprenticeship (ASPA) , the organization's inaugural film and television class. ASPA is a 15-18 week paid trainee program in which participants will receive paid in-class and on-the-job experiential training and education to prepare individuals for entry-level craft and service positions in the production and filming phase of producing television shows, movies and commercials. Following in-class training, the apprentices will be placed on television productions for two rotations.
