Our Story:Finca Leones" is our family farm located in the Ecuadorian Amazon that produces Pitahaya fleshy, sweet and unique, which characteristics are not found anywhere else in the world.Doña María is the family pioneer who started cultivating pitahaya and gave each of her eight children 3.5 hectares . She raised her children here, worked the land and continues to live on the farm. The siblings, inspired by their 70-year-old mother, now 24 have hectares (59.3 Acres) of pitahaya in production and 6 hectares (15 Acres) planted, which guarantee the capability to offer over 360,000 KG (792,000 LB) a year of Palora Yellow Pitahaya. In two years the production will increase to 450,000 KG (990,000 LB). In early 2018, the farm "Los Leones" established Amazon-Fruit Frexot Productora y Comercializadora S.A, a modern packing facility and export operation, which meets the highest standards established by AGROCALIDAD the Ecuadorian government regulatory agency. Amazon-Fruit Frexot is a FDA foreign registered packing facility. We are pending certification for Version 5.3-GFS GlobalGAP + FSMA PSR + GRASP for both the farm and packing facility. Los Leones has also established Frexotic Inc in the United States to serve as the importing and distribution arm of its Palora Yellow Dragon Fruit (100% minority / 51% women owned).
