In most commercial buildings, energy usage stands as the largest operating expense. On average, roughly one third of a typical operating budget is allocated for energy consumption. Ambient offers property owners convenient and cost-effective methods to decrease these seemingly unavoidable costs. Far too few building operators and owners focus in on the ability to increase profitability by reducing operating expenditures. Building-related emissions saw another year of incremental increase to a new all-time high. Commercial properties were responsible for 28% of global energy-related CO2 emissions (International Energy Agency, 2018). Clearly there are not only financial benefits to be enjoyed with energy efficient renovations, there is also a tremendous need for buildings to reduce environmental impact.
