Based on the writings of British educator Charlotte Mason, Ambleside School at Skylark offers a rigorous and rich education to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We are an inviting, warm, and Christ-centered community in the Roaring Fork Valley full of joy, play, and focused learning. Every day students experience a rich feast of ideas. They learn math facts, scan poetry, paint plants and natural specimens, read and perform Shakespeare, play outside daily, become entranced by excellent stories, and more in the expansive curriculum offered at Ambleside.Teachers create a peaceful atmosphere. Students give focused attention to books, paintings, math problems, musical compositions, and each other. Children are considered persons, never problems to be dealt with. Small class sizes allow teachers to devote time to each student's growth both in academics and character.
