AMELOTEC: It's all in our name. "AMELO" means starch in Esperanto. Starch is the main ingredient for our bioplastics. We can use any native starch made from cassava, corn, potato, rice, and/or tapioca. "TEC" indicates that we have technology and know-how. We convert native starch into a biodegradable bioplastic, using the starch as a functional polymer instead of just as a filler. This results in higher starch loadings, cost advantages, as well as additional functional properties, such as liquid and gas barriers.
