The AMEN Ministry is sponsored by the Hendersonville, NC church of Christ. Since 1976 AMEN has attempted to connect young Christians to local churches of Christ, especially as they enter the United States Military, but also as they move around the world including to Iraq and Afghanistan and other overseas areas. At times since 1976 there have been as many as 400 churches near military installations participating in this ministry. Since the Cold War many bases, especially in Europe, have been closed, but the AMEN Ministry continues to connect Christians in the military with churches around the world and on the seas.
