Ament, Inc. was founded in 1983 as a one person firm by Michael E. Ament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As we have transitioned from our humble beginnings into a future driven by technology and the utmost detail to client care, we continue to hold focus on our core services: architecture, civil engineering, land surveying, interior design, and transportation planning. Our goal is still to exceed our clients' expectations from project conception to project completion. Even our name has evolved, from Ament, Inc. to doing business as Ament Design, an all encompassing design firm for our clients.We have been instrumental in the design of many notable public improvement projects and major private developments in the Midwest. These projects include educational facilities, child care centers, municipal buildings, corridor studies, roadway extensions, water storage and distribution, residential subdivisions, industrial complexes, recreational trails, and municipal civil engineering.
