American Football Federation of India (AFFI) is an organization that serves as a governing body for American football in India from 2008. AFFI is organizing American football clinics and setting up academies across India and also introduced flag football in schools and colleges to develop the sport from grass root level.AFFI also organizing flag football and tackle football national championships for under 14, under 16 and seniors category every year. AFFI is an associate member of the International Federation for American Football (IFAF), which is the development partner of the hugely popular NFL in the United States. AFFI is also a member of the IFAF Asia, which is the regional body. Currently, American Football is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Presently played across 71 nations and the sport is recognized by IOC and likely to get official entry into the Olympics soon.
