AMHA is a company that specializes in assisting patients who elect to receive "Alternative, Integrated" medical care at facilities throughout the U.S and internationally. Traditionally these providers require their patients to pay cash up-front for their medical care. Many practices offer some form of a receipt or bill to their patients but do not offer any assistance as it pertains to the preparation and submission of the bills to the patient's insurance company. The majority of patients have little to no experience when dealing with their insurance companies and the complex issues involved with claims processing. Therefore just supplying a master bill does not always overcome the challenges placed by insurance companies. Considering the cost associated with any medical treatment you want the best opportunity at receiving a reimbursement. When offering perspective patients the option of reimbursements (from their insurance company) patients will find it easier choosing to visit a facility knowing that there is a chance of an insurance reimbursement. This helps reduce the financial stress for those patients and allows them to concentrate on their travel and treatment. All of AMHA's current clients do not accept insurance and they expect payment up-front for the services provided. AMHA's service cost nothing to the practices we represent, providers of care only refer AMHA's services to their patients and AMHA deals directly with patients to handle the billing. If AMHA succeeds, then patients can afford to return for additional treatments and therefore both the patients and the practice benefit from our service. As a third-party patient advocate company AMHA takes you facility practice out of the equation.
