Americans for Sensible Policy Reform is a Political Action Committee devoted to influencing legislation in a tangible way. While many Political Action Committees are used by candidates for Federal office as a way to divert funds and bypass campaign finance regulations, Americans for Sensible Policy Reform instead functions as a voice of the people-- the way that Political Action Committees were intended to be used. At this time, ASPR does not accept donations from corporate donors and is entirely crowdfunded by everyday American citizens. This committee intends to make independent expenditures, and consistent with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit decision in SpeechNow v. FEC, it therefore intends to raise funds in unlimited amounts. This committee will not use those funds to make contributions, whether direct, in-kind, or via coordinated communications, to federal candidates or committees. This committee is entirely unaffiliated with any organizational affiliations of its members.
