AMEXTRA has been serving the marginalized communities of Mexico for 28 years. Our mission is to promote the holistic transformation of marginalized communities in Mexico. AMEXTRA is a non profit organization which operates its own community development projects. We promote sustainable changes, accompanying and empowering community leadership and local participation which transform the quality of life in marginalized communities, while maintaining values of service, compassion and justice. AMEXTRA establishes a presence in rural and urban communities and accompanies individuals and families in order to improve their quality of life through education, health and nutrition, income generation, emergency relief and environmental sustainability projects. All of the AMEXTRA programs are long term and are focused on the formation of leaders and community organization. We need you to contribute in order to continue transforming Mexico.We are currently operating holistic community projects in the Central Valley Region of Oaxaca, the Northern Jungle and Highland Regions of Chiapas, the regions of Tultitlán, Lomas de San Isidro and Valle de Chalco in State of Mexico, and in the Ajusco region in Mexico City.This past year, we grew significantly and thanks to the hard work of our 172 promoters, we were able to directly serve 16,403 people.
