Visited Benidorm in July 2009 to research the potential of bringing the Network to the Costa Blanca.Linda and I fell in love with Old Town Benidorm and liked Spanish culture. We wanted to learn the language and create something new that we couldn't find anywhere else in Benidorm. We also wanted to experience "owning a bar". Having spent years showing others how to market their bar on the Internet, we needed to prove that we could do it ourselves. We settled on a greasy spoon called "Busters at Sister Slim". It offered the right location for us to impliment our ideas but, everything had to change even the name.We rebuilt it from the ground up and were hands on all the way. I lost almost 50lbs in just 3 months. If we wanted to experience what it was like to run a bar we certainly started from rock bottom. We opened the bar on August 1st 2010.Whilst bars in Benidorm are closing or changing hands faster than in the UK, we knew we had to offer something different if we were going to succeed. It's very clean – the toilets are arguably the cleanest in Benidorm – and we are determined to keep away from serving fried fatty foods. It was the first non-smoking bar in old Town (before the non-smoking law came in) and we are the only bar serving real ale - 15 of them including Fullers London Pride, Greene King IPA, Marstons Pedigree and Burton Bitter, Shepherd Neame Spitfire and Bishops Finger.Draught beers are Radaberger (a very good German Pilsner) and Estrella Damm (a Spanish favourite) which are served best in branded glasses straight from the freezer. We offer free Spanish and English language lessons, local delivery and takeaway. The decor includes comfortable seating with two sofas, eight poofs and three bar stools inside with four classy bistro tables and sixteen chairs on the terrace.Currently voted #4 of 205 restaurants in Benidorm via Trip Advisor.
