Six plays. Three themes. One night only. Called "A theatrical time bomb" by the New York Times, Shotz' writers, actors and directors, present spontaneous, hilarious and sometimes heart-warming plays. Written and rehearsed within a month, performed with high-energy fearlessness. Amios has been brewing fresh microplays in NYC since 2009, San Francisco since 2012 and Boston since 2013.OUR MISSION is to constantly create spontaneous, hilarious and provocative plays, driven by fearless and innovative ensemble work; plays that directly reflect the race, gender, sexuality, and politics, of our participants... or not. AmiosWest was founded in 2012 as the West Coast outpost of Amios. AMIOS (Art and Music in our Souls) was founded in 2009 by alumni of the National Theatre Conservatory. Since its inception Amios has worked with over 500 artists to produce more than 300 original short, one-act and full-length plays in New York City, San Francisco and Boston.
