Amison Consulting Services provides intensive chart review, workshops and 1:1 individualized training services to Skilled Nursing Facility Executives, Front-Line Managers, Nurses, Therapists and Non-Clinical Staff. We work with your staff to improve the documentation process and decrease overall Medicare pre-certification denial.According to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), 69% of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) admission and continued stay denials in 2019 were due to incomplete or inaccurate clinical information. Essentially, these denials could have been avoided. This resulted in a projected underpayment of over $27.7 million to Skilled Nursing Facilities. An avoidable denial issued by a Medicare Advantage plan can cost a facility between $400-$600 per day, per avoidable denial.
