Nonprofit Organization Management - Cleveland, Ohio, United States
The Amistad Caribbean Arts Camp (ACAC) was created in 2018 as an initiative of the Arts Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland (recently reorganized as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio). ACAC was launched as a two-week AfroCaribbean summer arts program in 2018 and was expanded to three weeks in 2019. Instructors and logistical support have been provided by Open Tone Music, a local music education non-profit with a strong history of working with the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Cleveland Public School System. Two additional parties joined the ACAC team for the 2019 camp. Cultural Resources LLC (CRLLC) is a local education software firm with expertise in world cultures and AfroCaribbean culture in particular. CRLLC has provided all curriculum materials (including student binders, performance videos and computer animations) for the 2019 and 2020 camps. CRLLC has also funded extensive planning by Amistad Management for the 2019 and 2020 camp years. All curriculum materials and project planning are provided by CRLLC at no cost to the Amistad program.
