The Amnion Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to support the development and advancement of technologies that utilize one or more components of birth-associated tissues such as the placenta and umbilical cord. Birth tissues are a plentiful, non-controversial source of healthy cells, many of which are derived from the baby but can be isolated from the placenta after a full term birth, posing no risk to mother or child. Stem/progenitor cells, endothelial cells, and specialized immune cells are just a few of the cell types that can be derived from birth-associated tissues, each of which can be used in a broad array of in vitro and in vivo applications. We provide support to our partners who bank our proprietary placenta-derived cells and partner with researchers worldwide to provide access to these and other birth tissue-associated cells and biomaterials. Contact us at info@amnionfoundation.org and learn how we can support your research and development efforts.Sharon C. Presnell, Ph.D.President, Amnion Foundation
