The Amsterdam Pipe Museum is a specialized museum dedicated to pipes and the culture of pipe smoking worldwide. The museum is housed along Prinsengracht in the city centre of Amsterdam and exhibits in 2,000 items the worldwide history of smoking. As research centre the museum is active in the fields of the archaeology, history and ethnology of the smoking habit. The museum collections hold 30,000 realia, next to a specialized library with 4,000 titles and a documentation center.
