Amtec Technologies offers a comprehensive network and communications security architecture with the ability to protect information, whether at rest, in use, or in transit. A quantum leap in encryption capabilities, thin profile, ultra fast, exceedingly secure and flexible. In encryption, secrecy and difficulty, or better yet, impossibility, of decoding is the goal. Ideally, one would want to have an encryption method that is impossible to crack without actually having the key, and that operates at very fast speeds, to allow secure communications at speeds we are accustomed to in unencrypted communications. Until now, these two goals have been mutually exclusive; one can either have a perfectly (or nearly perfectly) secure encryption method, or one can have it operate quickly, but not both together, or, at least, without major problems in key distribution and management. That's where we would like to introduce Amtec Technologies software architecture. In the Amtec architecture, we have taken another look at the One Time Pad algorithm and developed a Virtual One Time Pad method that solves the practical issues of the Vernam algorithm. Amtec's methodology achieves the following: > Use 8 to 10xs less CPU than AES and other encryption methods > Is fast – in fact, full encoding is accomplished in approximately 20 machine instructions. > Operates on small windows of data – from one to four bytes, rather than large blocks. > Is VERY random – ‘whitening" is accomplished by successive application of differently generated random number tables. > Is space efficient – the cipher text is the same size as the clear text, plus a few header and framing bytes. > Solves the problem of key distribution and management – Through clever use of the multiple tables, and random entry points, the method effectively creates an extremely large virtual "Pad."
