Mining & Metals - Wasilla, Alaska, United States
Alaska Pocket GoldOur claims on Mills Creek are perhaps the largest overlooked Gold Pocket in Alaska. The gold that has been extracted is beautiful jewelers grade gold and would make gorgeous earrings, watch bands and necklaces just to name a few.I would like to share a little information with you about Alaskan Gold, and the Mills Creek area in particular. In 1903 Gold was discovered in Mills Creek. In 1904 they started hydraulic mining. After 39 years, in 1942 when WWII started, the US Government shut down all mining in the United States. During those 39 years miners took out over 30,000 ounces of Gold. payouts for one troy ounce4 started at just $20 and by 1934 went up to $35.00 Today Gold is going for $1200.00 per ounce (Sept 2018).The Miners are still working Mills Creek but no one has found where the lode is. I have found by prospecting the whole area where the Gold has been coming from. It is high in the Mountains, around 4,000 feet. I have 3 claims, 2 placer claims and 1 lode claim. The claims are on the Kenai Peninsula in the Chugach National Forest, Mile 49 of the Seward Highway. Recording District: Anchorage, Meridian: Seward, TWN: 7N RNG: 1W Sec(s) 26x35. These claims can only be accessed by plane or helicopter, making it unique. We will be going in after avalanche danger has passed and will work around the clock 24/7.
