Growing up, I used to think that travelling to new places is my future. Eventually got into the travel industry, where I had opportunity of running 3 companies over 12 years. Travelling, long haul flights and airport lounges and luxury hotels. As traveller I always touched new flower and there fragrance. Having all the resources to help I had a great quality of life. But the variable of happiness is never really discussed when you are growing up. Like most, the assumption is that once you have reached a point where you can afford all of life's little luxuries, the intangibles, such as your health, emotional stability, and social needs would automatically be taken care of; but this wasn't what was it.I was seeking my essence and life favoured. In one of the office annual days I was asked by a client that you do wonderful flowers, and it's the design that is remarkable. In a month time I started my new secret venture &blooms. Keeping it low and daring to be big. Although the industry I was heading into definitely gave me doubts. I loved the creativity and the freedom to design yet in control. In few months it was a small pop store, then a 1800 sqft store and then a mini store in 9 months. Learning that florists are considered one of the happiest professions, I began to look at my choice from a different perspective. It turns out that I am actually in the business of sharing happiness. When a son sends the mother a beautiful bouquet on a birthday, or the husband from the border sends a flower box for his wife who has delivered a girl. It was the small florist who stepped in to convey the sender's message when they are not able to. It was a wow factor. We had chance to send for all occasions from a proposal to baby shower to baby born to all celebrations.
