Andrea Pedrina is a multi-disciplinary designer who took his first degree in Disciplines of Art, Music and Cinema with a major in Computer Science and Multimedia Systems. He worked as Interaction Design researcher trainee for the International Research Centre Casa Paganini – InfoMus. He won in 2015 a two-year scholarship for the master of arts in Communication Design at Milan's NABA, where he focused on interactive data visualization. In 2016, he won two awards in the One Show Young Ones creativity contest in New York: the Silver Pencil Award in the category "LEGO / Logo Design" and the Merit Award in the category "LEGO – Experiential Design and Promotion". He has also been awarded for his portfolio website with a Special Kudos Award by CSS Design Awards, a Honorable Mention by Awwwards and a Site of The Day award by Design Nominees and by CSSREEL. During his university studies he also followed several courses at the Interaction Design Foundation and he's currently the Milan & Turin Local Leader for the Interaction Design Association (IxDA). He have been granted the opportunity to join the official CSSDA judging panel, working closely with a team of digital professionals to judge the best websites in the world. He's currently working as interaction designer at the Carlo Ratti Associati studio in Turin, founded by the director of the MiT Senseable City Lab, Carlo Ratti, and the Makr Shakr project under the MiT wing.
