André Schmidt was born in 1972 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, to Dutch parents, so he is Dutch.He spent his childhood in Germany, Suriname and the Netherlands, where he biked to and from his high school every day for 14 km each way, until he graduated in 1990.After working half a decade in development aid as a tropical hydrologist in India and Africa, a decade in the corporate worlds of eBay and Google, followed by a decade as Founder & CEO of his technology company, he decided that the next decade, and more, is going to be about creativity and art.André is an Agricultural Engineer (‘Landbouwkundig Ingenieur' ) from Wageningen University and holds an MBA degree from New York University.With respect to art, he is 100% autodidact and loves to learn by doing, driven by his curiosity. His objective is to create works of art that you never get tired of looking at.He lived in 10 countries and 5 continents and now calls Milan his home, where he lives together with his two kids.
