Museums & Institutions - Dunfermline, Scotland, United Kingdom
Andrew Carnegie was one of the great American Scots of the 19th century. His life has left a huge international legacy, but as his birthplace cottage testifies he came from humble beginnings. The small cottage where Andrew was born in 1835 is the only surviving weaver's cottage in Dunfermline. Adjacent to it is the beautiful Art Deco museum hall, built by Andrew's wife in 1928.
