The business practice also includes business and commercial litigation in federal and state trial and appeals courts. For foreign clients, international transaction planning includes federal, state and local company and tax issues affecting business and employment in the United States, and coordination of tax and business planning with the client's home country professional advisors.In the employee benefits practice, the firm represents employee plans, plan administration companies and service providers, plan sponsors, trustees, fiduciaries, participants and beneficiaries. Clients are advised on plan design, operation, and administration, compliance with Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor regulations, and the accuracy and sufficiency of benefits and plan administration. Litigation experience includes trials and appeals on behalf of employers, fiduciaries, service providers, plan participants and beneficiaries.
