Construction - London, England, United Kingdom
Andrew Wright Associates (AWA) coordinates ‘Constructive Collaboration', a cross-industry initiative to improve and promote collaborative practice. The initiative has drawn together a range of multidisciplinary, inter-practice experts who have all delivered exceptional projects through high-performing composite teams. AWA has translated the work into a commercial process and supports teams to apply the process in practice. The Constructive Collaboration model enables teams to appraise their collaborative status and rapidly improve their collaborative environment. The process and tools are designed to empower teams and create the conditions to deliver exceptional outcomes. If you would like to engage please get in touch. Whilst currently championing Constructive Collaboration, AWA was founded as an architectural practice. After setting up AWA with the award winning Holy Island project, the practice developed to offer a clear expertise in sustainable planning through a range of masterplanning projects such as Bilston, Clapham, Hengrove and Dursley. The practice then concentrated on progressing integrated building design on private houses and then AWA then won the national competition for Scunthorpe Sports Academy with Buro Happold, Andrew Grant, and S&P, leading the team to Stage D. Completed in 2011, the scheme has received a series of regional and national awards, including the final shortlist at the World Architectural Festival in the Sports category and the Sustain 2012 Best Public Realm Award for "delicious and enticing architecture… and the integrated manner it fuses architecture and landscape..."
