"We believe that... Each museum should have its own individuality, its own specialty, and its own uniqueness. Its exhibits musttrigger interest and excitement in the visitor. Emotion...participation, stimulation and inspiration... To seek a greater understanding of the world and its people around us—that is our goal." —Jean Jacques André André & Associates Interpretation and Design Ltd. is an interpretive planning and exhibition design firm that has evolved over 50 years. It is a family business that was founded in 1961 as Jean Jacques André Design and Graphic Arts and continues today as André & Associates Interpretation and Design Ltd. under the ownership of Jean Jacques' daughter and son-in-law: Bianca and Bill Message. Our experience ranges from small local special interest cultural, visitor, and interpretive centers to large international museums that encompass many disciplines. Both offer similar challenges and satisfactions. All have a story and point of view and are equally rich and complex in their interpretation, regardless of size. We offer a range of services from facilities/exhibit master planning through to exhibit completion, research, text writing, graphic design and production, lectures and workshops, and multimedia development. We specialize in creating a total exhibit experience. We are also experienced in developing tools to promote the project and assist in fundraising. As a result of our past work, we have access to a network of people who we believe are the best in the exhibit business and, depending on the requirements of the project, we assemble a team of these specialists.
