Andy Hickes Architectural Renderer is a sole proprietorship, headed by award-winning renderer Andy Hickes, specializing in historic preservation, restoration, and commercial retail renderings.Hickes has been featured in countless publications and has produced renderings of many of NYC's most recognizable buildings, including Grand Central Station, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the Dream Hotel, among others. His extensive client list ranges from Bloomingdales and Estee Lauder to Robert A. M. Stern and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). In addition to practicing, he has judged the 2010 CGArchitect 7th Annual Architectural 3D International Award, and has taught at FIT and Parsons School of Design.In 1985 he founded NYSR, the New York Society of Renderers, (nysr.com). As its president, he started the NYSR Portfolio, published every four years, to promote architectural illustrators. He was a founding member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) in 1985 and the only member to be represented in both that organizations first inaugural show in 1985 and in the recent 25th Anniversary show held in Tokyo, Japan.
