The Parisian tea room Angelina, known for its hot chocolate drink and iconic Mont-Blanc has made its American debut in November 2020.Founded in 1903 by Austrian confectioner Antoine Rumpelmayer and named in honour of his daughter-in-law, Angelina has been the favourite meeting place of Parisian gourmets for over a century. The décor, designed by famous Belle Epoque architect Edouard-Jean Niermans, offers a distinct blend of elegance, charm and refinement.Angelina Paris USA, which holds the rights to open in the U.S., has signed a lease on the ground floor of a new luxury rental tower at 1050 Avenue of the Americas, near Bryant Park in Midtown.It will be the first U.S. outpost for the famed teahouse and bakery, which is known in Paris for its densely sweet hot chocolate and historic fabulous-clientele like Coco Chanel.
