ANKH association was founded in 2018 by a group of human rights defenders from Egypt who have moved to France due to the difficult situation there. This is why we decided to set up ANKH association to help and support the rights of minority groups in the Euromediterranean region.We are specifically focusing on LGBTQI community, people living with HIV, and human rights defender.We also use art and culture to promote the concept of human rights through the organization of workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and meetings for independent artists.Current Projects: -The Know More campaign :‘Know More' is a health campaign to improve awareness about sexually transmitted diseases by providing diverse information in Arabic language from reliable sources, and without stigmatizing indivudals on the basis of gender, religion, ethnic background, color or sexual orientation.HIV is one one of the main themes of the campaign as we seek to: 1/ create a guide of services provided to people living with HIV in the Arab world 2/ raise awareness on HIV prevention and how to live with HIV.www.facebook.com/know.more.campaign To contact us: Campaigns@ankhfrance.org -Support LGBTQIA activists and defenders:We support LGBTQIA people from the Arab world in Europe by offering them accommodation, helping them in their asylum process, and putting them in contact with local organizations.
