Non-Profit - Holmes Beach, FL, US
The Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce was established in 1949 after the post-WWII building boom saw the Island evolve into a thriving trio of separate municipalities: Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach. More community improvements and growth to expand the local tourism industry along with the businesses to support it created a need for the establishment of a Chamber of Commerce on the Island.Today the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce has nearly 600 members and plays a fundamental role in promoting local businesses and area tourism. Our Chamber of Commerce works as a liaison between the government and private sectors. Our partnerships benefit our members and allow us to develop beneficial programs that help our community. We work closely with Manatee County & local city officials as well as the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (BACVB), the Economic Development Council (EDC) – where we have a seat and the Manatee County Emergency Management System on disaster relief. In addition, The AMI Chamber proudly supports its community. Since 2014 our Trolley program, developed in partnership with Manatee County, has given away over $280,000 to local non & not-for-profit Island organizations in an effort to preserve our island, its wildlife and its colorful and unique arts and culture.Join us as we celebrate over 60 years promoting local businesses. Our friendly directors, staff, volunteers and members are ready to assist you in your networking, marketing, and community needs. See what we are all about. As a prospective member, we invite you to one of our monthly networking events. You are just a phone call away from joining the Chamber our members enjoy being a part of.
