ANTI - Contemporary Art Festival is an international contemporary arts festival presenting site specific works made for public space. ANTI Festival presents live, sonic, visual and text-based art from today's most exciting and innovative artists in the Finnish town of Kuopio. Free of charge ANTI Festival is a meeting place for artists and audiences fascinated by how art shapes and responds to the places and spaces of everyday life.In 2014 ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art was presented at the ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival in Kuopio on 24 September. The winner of the prize was Canadian artist Heather Cassils, who will produce a commissioned work for the 2015 ANTI Festival. The total value of the award is EUR 30,000 and comprises a EUR 15,000 cash prize and EUR 15,000 as production support. Convinced of the award's importance, the Saastamoinen Foundation renew their support for the prize following the success of the inaugural 2014 edition.The 2015 winner will be selected by an international three-member jury, membership of which will vary year-on-year. Jury members and short-listed nominees for the 2015 prize will be announced during the spring. The next ANTI - Contemporary Art Festival will take place between 1 - 6 September 2015, organized in collaboration with Kuopio Marathon, its themes will be endurance, physicality and the common ground between sport and culture. An annual partnership with a non-artistic organisation is a part of ANTI Festival's new strategy.
