Anupama's collections are the handmade, ready to wear version of her fine rose-bud embroidery, leheriya and other textile techniques using hand loom fabrics. Being a trained Textile designer, she draws and develops her own designs, be it for print or embroidery. Associated with leading craftsmen in Jaipur since 1999, Anupama has worked with block printing and printing with vegetable dyes including indigo and dabu; Carpet weaving - doing panja dhurries as well as fine wool carpets; local embroidery techniques such as Dori embroidery, Gota patti and Danka embroidery. In 2005, she setup Atelier Anupama, her own design studio, as a unit of Indian Textile Crafts. Her repertoire includes classic bespoke bridal wear, uniforms, embroidered throw pillows, curtains and wall art. She has developed special textiles for some of the premium Luxury Hotels in Jaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore and textile identity for luxury tents with Kaafila. Anupama has specialised in bespoke bridal wear, having pioneered her signature rose-bud embroidery nearly 20 years ago. She personally hand makes the buds to ensure finish and quality. In 2010, Anupama began extensively working in the field of reviving the unique tie-dyeing technique of Rajasthan: leheriya. She is personally involved in the mixing of colours, tying sequences and techniques, recreating designs. Her work with leheriya has been featured in Walking hand in hand – Craft Design Society, February 2016, Lakme Fashion Week, March 2016 and at the International Folk Art Alliance, Santa Fe in July 2017. Over the last 4 years Anupama has been steadily adding more pret lines to her vast repertoire of work using the finest of craft techniques. Today, her work is well known all over the world!
