Anwar-Ul Islam Youth Association of Nigeria (AYAN) is a nationwide youth group that works with young Muslim men and women around the country. The association is was founded in December 1979 and serves as the youth wing of the Anwar-Ul Islam Movement of Nigeria. AYAN is one of the earliest Muslim Youth organizations in the Nigeria.AYAN is a dynamic and vibrant association serving not only the needs of its members but of its local communities and nation. The association is comprised of more than 6,000 male and female members from Anwar-Ul Islam Movement Community Nigeria aged 7 to 50, spread across 150 local chapters.Operating under the auspices of the leadership of Anwar-Ul Islam Movement of Nigeria, AYAN is governed by a CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL and led by a National Chairman. The executive councils comprises of young men and women nominated from all local chapters from across nigeria.The outreach activities of AYAN are not limited to the Muslim community. It serves the needs of all members of society irrespective of color, race, religion or creed and promotes interfaith dialogue and co-operation in order to promote peace and harmony.
