Music - Appleton, WI, US
The Appleton Boychoir is committed to providing a life-changing musical experience for boys that builds their self-esteem, leadership and collaboration skills and enriches the community. Our three choirs strive to foster teamwork, self-discipline, accomplishment and pride. Our program serves to transform young boys' lives allowing them to excel in musical education, serve as musical ambassadors, learn life skills and discipline, and encourage family involvement. Our mission is passed through our choirs to our community and those we visit. Membership in the Boychoir is by audition. A boy will start in 3rd grade, and remain through the end of his eighth grade year, or until his voice changes. He is then graduated. The Choirs perform three major concerts per year and collaborate with other arts organizations in concerts each season. The boys participate in a Summer Camp experience to kick off each season. This consists of mentoring, bonding, singing, and fun! The Boychoir has given musical training to thousands of boys, taking them all over the world and sending them on their way with a life-long love of singing. We are committed to maintaining our history of providing resources so that no boy is left behind due to financial difficulty.
