AppOps was born out of frustration at how often you need to repeat the same things over and over again while creating new software applications. How often you ended up redoing the same thing all over and going through all the trouble/pain all over. How often we developers struggled to find a technique to implement something cool and did it all over again when we needed it once more. What a waste ? AppOps is an effort to bring all those repeating jobs, patterns, components, and processes under one roof simplifying a developer's live, creating more value for time, effort and money through a comprehensive platform while attaining the best possible scale and performance. All of this using existing established tools, applications and standards underneath entirely from open source world while building opportunity for large scale enterprise grade support. If you are an experienced developer reading this, a very relevant question arise in your mind – Don't we have all of it already in place through the wordpress / Joomla / Drupal of the world ? What is new around here ? At the same time you also possibly notice the difference between sites / apps built using these tools and applications like say Gmail. The difference in performance, coherence, quality and extensibility is highly visible. And this is where I see the opportunity to build AppOps that will help us all bridge the gap.
