Appsis Tecnologia, or Appsis Technology (in English), is an edtech start-up focused on discovering how technology can enhance education, and then creating the proper software to implement such advancements.One of Appsis' main focuses is bringing to Brazilian classrooms the type of technology formerly only available to schools in the United States and Europe. A primary example of this was Appsis' creation of Solvy; an application with both learning analytics and adaptive elements. Appsis introduced the app to thousands of students at Colegio Anglo Prudente; a K-12 school in Presidente Prudente, in the São Paulo state of Brazil. Solvy functions as a blended learning supplement to traditional teacher-taught lessons. Students access the app at home to complete assigned exercises related to class lessons. Solvy collects data points from the students' performance, and shares this material with both teachers and parents.The students' academic performance skyrocketed since Solvy implementation, and because of this, Sovly's sister-program (named Guaxy) is gaining popularity among other schools in the São Paulo state of Brazil Appsis also created AniMoby; an interactive whiteboard app that provides access to a variety of design tools (text, paint, draw, photo insertion, etc.) and voice-recording capabilities that simplify the lesson prep process for teachers. The app is available for iPads, iPhones, and Android tablets, and received more than 50,000 downloads since its release less than a year ago.More apps are also in development stages.
