At APT Educational Services (Assessment and Prescriptive Tutoring), our tutoring is customized to fit the needs of children (k–12) with a range of learning styles. Study skills training is also offered for all of our tutoring clients. We also provide adult tutoring services, so that those more than 18 years of age can benefit from the guidance of helpful teachers with more than 27 years of experience. By focusing on all five senses, we encompass the full range of a student's learning abilities. Auditory, visual, tactical, and kinesthetic teaching methods aim for success in our tutoring sessions. We emphasize the transferral of strategies and skills into daily schoolwork. We also have educational consults with parents and/or teachers, so that everyone is on the same page.Teacher TrainingIf you are a teacher, let us get you trained with our workshops. These are available in most areas of teaching and your training is customized to fit your faculty's needs. Each school principal determines which classes we use to train their teachers. We request that school principals survey their teachers to see preferred training preferences.Educational Achievement AssessmentWe offer both educational achievement testing and a complete reading assessment. The KTEA is a test to determine each student's strengths and weaknesses. Our reading assessment covers decoding, comprehension, phonological awareness, and fluency.
