AQS, a.s. is an independent acquisition company specialized in licencing programs for TV broadcasting, for cinemas and video distribution in the areas of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.The company was founded in 1998. Their first client was TV Nova, the strongest Czech commercial TV channel. Rapid growth of the AQS resulted in a very strong acquisition and distribution group emerging around the company. Their activities didn't concern only acquisition of TV rights, but also film and video distribution. Since its start, the company has gained a reputation of a stable business partner. In Central Europe, it belongs to the most influential and largest companies in the media market. Recently, AQS has also been engaged in production of Czech films.
