Aqua Culture Training Center (ACTC) trains lifeguards, lifeguard instructors, swim lessons instructors (WSI) and pool operators according to national standards equipping confident, knowledgeable and effective professionals to serve the community and make water activities safer. Many local facilities preferentially hire lifeguards and swim instructors that are certified by ACTC due to the professionalism and skill of Aqua Culture course participants. The training center staff is largest and most varied staff of instructors and instructors trainers in the American Red Cross Chesapeake Region.
