A PASSION FOR AQUATIC PLANTS SINCE 1965 Aquaflora is a pioneer in the field of aquatic plants. The company arose from the hobby of the founder Dick Mous and specialized in growing and trading aquarium and pond plants for over 55 years. Dick Mous was a passionate nature lover and for many years he travelled the world to find new plants. In these 5 decades Aquaflora has developed into a leading company in Europe as well as worldwide.In 1996 Aquaflora was taken over by Esther Mous, the daughter of Dick.Mous, and Frank Riechelman, his former right hand. Historically Aquaflora was a company that supplied aquarium plants exclusively to wholesale companies and colleague growers. Most plants were sold unbranded. Later distributors were added to represent the Aquaflora brand in a certain country or area and since 10 years Aquaflora also supplies to retail stores directly. Now most of the plants are sold under the Aquaflora brand.AQUAFLORA A-TEAM - AQUASCAPING ACTIVITIES The Aquaflora A-Team is Aquaflora's promotion team lead by CEO Esther Mous and PR manager Filipe Oliveira. The A-Team is very active on social media and tours around the world to promote the aquarium hobby, in particular aquascaping, and the love for underwater nature. With their A-Team Aquaflora organizes fun and educational aquascaping events that connect passionate people from all over the world. Their mission is to inspire and educate people to make the hobby more accessible for a wider audience. They organize both in-house events and events on location and the Aquaflora A-Team has talented aquascaping members all over the world. In 2015 Esther introduced the quote ‘Aquascaping Makes My World Go Round' which reflects so well what the aquascaping hobby is today. A beautiful hobby with a growing community of many amazing and talented people that are connected by a shared passion and friendship worldwide.
